The castle, together with theĀ city walls, is considered to be one of Europeās most formidable medieval fortifications.Ā It represented the power and importance of the Holy Roman Empire, as well as the outstanding role of the Imperial City of Nuremberg.
Nuremberg Zoo is a zoo located in theĀ Imperial Forest, southeast ofĀ Nuremberg. With an area of 67 hectares (170 acres), approximately 300 animal species are kept by the zoo.
